12th International Congress – 2014 São Paulo, Brazil – Candidate City

ABGE – Associação Brasileira de Geologia de Engenharia e Ambiental, the Brazilian National Group of IAEG, is happy to submit the candidature of São Paulo for hosting the 12th International Congress of IAEG in 2014.

2014 will be unique for the Engineering Geology in Brazil.
Major infrastructure developments due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are expected to boost the demands for Engineering Geology works and environmental solutions.

ABGE, the Brazilian National Group, will be honoured to organise the 12th International Congress in the city of São Paulo and to celebrate with all IAEG members the 40th anniversary of the Second International Congress held in São Paulo – a bench mark for the development of Engineering Geology in Brazil.
